Electrician

West Fraser is seeking an Electrician to support mill operations at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, and controls that keep our lumber and panel production running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance on panels, drives, and plant power distribution, interpret schematics, and respond quickly to equipment issues. Working in a safety-first, team-oriented environment, you'll contribute to sustainable, modern manufacturing while building a long-term career with training and advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, motors, and controls in a manufacturing mill environment
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on production equipment to minimize downtime
• Perform preventive maintenance on panels, drives, PLCs, and plant power distribution
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
• Test and verify system safety, grounding, and lockout/tagout compliance
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support safe, efficient operations
• Document maintenance activities and support continuous improvement projects
• Assist with upgrades, retrofits, and new equipment installations
