Court Assistant

JOB OBJECTIVE: To provide assistance to the general public and Probation staff in preparation for court and during court sessions; to provide clerical support for the Probation Section of the Little Rock District Court Criminal Division.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of high school; one (1) year of general clerical experience or related area; and one (1) year of computer experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

• Must possess Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC)/National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Level 1, Basic Terminal Operator within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this position.
• Prior to any exposure to criminal justice information must obtain Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) security and privacy certification and maintain the certification for the duration of employment in this position.
