School Food Service Manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum of two years managerial experience in school food service preferred
- Complete and maintain a Servsafe Certification within 30 days
- Complete and maintain manager training program within 3 years
- Complete and maintain ten hours of continuing education annually
- Assist the Director of Student Nutritional Services in the supervision and evaluation of school lunch patterns served in all schools.
- Assist cafeteria managers in staffing of cafeteria workers.
- Recommend equipment and assist in developing specifications for the same.
- Promote a better understanding of food service programs in schools.
- Assist in inservice workshops and on-job training for school lunch managers and employees.
- Assist cafeteria managers in developing new recipes and planning menus.
- Assist in the development of manager trainees.
- Responsible for auditing cafeteria funds and reports.
- Perform some heavy lifting.
- Perform work at varying heights from a ladder.
- Perform staff evaluations.
- Available to work unscheduled hours when needed.
- Respond to after hour emergencies.
- Assist in the implementation of the District's Desegregation Plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Goal:
To assure that all aspects of the Student Nutritional Services Guidelines are enforced and supported by all employees and that food of high nutritious quality is made available to each student in the district.
