Full Time.
The Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving application software that supports business and user needs. This role works collaboratively within an engineering team to deliver reliable, well-designed features and services while following established development standards and best practices.
Essential Functions- Design, develop, test, and maintain application features and services
- Implement requirements based on product specifications and technical designs
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following team standards
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and other engineers throughout the development lifecycle
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
- Contribute to documentation of application functionality and technical processes
- Follow security, privacy, and compliance requirements applicable to the application environment
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and team planning activities
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages or frameworks used by the team
- Understanding of application development fundamentals, APIs, and data access patterns
- Familiarity with relational databases and basic SQL
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirements
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience developing or supporting production software applications
- Experience working in a team-based development environment
- Primarily a sedentary, computer-based role
- May require collaboration across departments and time zones
- Access to sensitive and confidential data requiring discretion and adherence to company policies
- Timely delivery of assigned application features
- Code quality and adherence to standards
- Effective collaboration with team members
- Reduction in defects and application issues
- Continued growth in technical skills and application knowledge
