Senior, Recreation Programmer at Southwest Community Center

Job Objective

To plan, organize and coordinate various aquatic, recreational and leisure activities and programs for adult and youth participants at Community Centers in the Department of Parks and Recreation; oversees the daily operations and maintenance of the outdoor swimming pool.

This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

• Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
• Must possess certification as a Lifeguard Training Instructor (LTI) from the American Red Cross before employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment.
• Must possess certification as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) from the National Swimming Pool Foundations, OR Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) from the National Recreation and Park Association before employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this position.
• Must be available to work outside normal working hours including shift assignments, nights, and weekends.
