Helicopter Pilot – Arkansas Children’s, Little Rock, AR
Work Shift: 24‑hour hospital‑based operation (day/night/NVG visual and instrument flight conditions)
Time Type: Full time
Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED (Required);
Associate Degree (Recommended) - Transport Pilot
Experience:
8 years; at least 2,700 total hours, 2,500 rotary‑wing flight hours, 1,000 hours PIC, 1,500 turbine engine hours, 100 hours night operations with NVG, 100 hours actual or simulated instrument experience - Certifications:
Class 1 or Class 2 Medical (FAA);
Commercial Helicopter with Instrument (FAA) (Required) - Air Transport Pilot License (FAA), Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Helicopter (FAA), Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII) Helicopter (FAA) (Recommended)
- Comply with all FAA regulations (FARs, 14 CFR) and Arkansas Children’s General Aviation Operations Manual.
- Prepare VFR/IFR flight plans per applicable regulations and company policies.
- Ensure aircraft readiness per the Aircraft Operator’s Manual and General Aviation Operations Manual; verify discrepancy logs are addressed.
- Perform maintenance operational checks, document mechanical discrepancies, and communicate status with maintenance personnel and Angel One Communications Center.
- File, activate, and close flight plans.
- Complete flight logs, manifest records, and maintenance forms accurately.
- Maintain SPIFR and FAR Part 135 proficiency as Pilot in Command.
- Report any medical deficiencies that would affect flight safety to the Director of Operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
