responsible for the safe operation of a medium lift twin engine helicopter in single pilot day/night/nvg visual and instrument flight condition. Performs flight duty in a 24 hour hospital based operation and adheres to camts guidelines.

air transport pilot license - faa, certified flight instructor (cfi) helicopter - faa, certified flight instrument instructor (cfii) helicopter - faa

description:
  • complies with all faa regulations (far’s, 14 cfr), angel one transport general aviation operations manual, safety manual, training manual and all other arkansas children’s policies and procedures.
  • prepares vfr/ifr flight plans in accordance with applicable federal aviation regulations, arkansas children’s general aviation operations manual, and arkanas children’s policies.
  • ensures aircraft is prepared for flight in accordance with the aircraft operator’s manual and general aviation operations manual. Checks aircraft discrepancy log to ensure all discrepancies have been corrected or properly deferred.
  • performs maintenance operational checks and/or flights and enters mechanical discrepancies into aircraft log book keeping maintenance personnel and angel one communications center abreast of aircraft status.
  • files, activates and closes flight plans.
  • ensures proper completion of flight logs, manifest records and maintenance forms.
  • maintains proficiency as pilot-in-command as per far part 135.293/299 and single pilot instrument flight rules (spifr) proficiency as per far part 135.297.
  • notifies the director of operations whenever a medical deficiency exists that would affect the safety of flight.
