Job DescriptionJOB GOAL:
To work effectively, professionally, and cooperatively both under supervision and independently as may be appropriate. To work effectively and efficiently perform the functions connected with the operation of the fixed asset property accounting system within the Procurement Department.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve (12) month (240 days) contract, Pay 802, Grade 04, plus benefits package.
NOTE:
Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based experience.

- Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Technical and Computer Proficiency:
Valid Arkansas driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record required. Experience in operating trucks up to two-ton capacity. Knowledge of the Little Rock area and ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, stacking, and loading heavy materials; occasional irregular work hours may be required. Moving experience preferred. Experience performing warehouse duties, including shipping, receiving, stocking, inventory management, and forklift operation - Communication and Interpersonal
Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to interact professionally with the public and District employees. - Organizational Skills and Professional Commitment:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy, flexibility to adapt to change, and evidence of a strong commitment to quality, integrated education.
BASIC PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintains proper personal appearance and conduct.
- Operates district vehicles safely and efficiently at all times.
- Performs preventive maintenance daily on the assigned vehicle
- Receive and inspect new furniture delivered to the Excess Property Warehouse, ensuring that receiving is accomplished only from proper documents and that furniture received is of the quality, quantity, and condition ordered. That appropriate system documentation is accomplished as required.
- Accomplishes hulling, moving, and distribution of supplies, equipment, and other properties as instructed and/or directed by supervisors.
- Secures items for delivery in such a manner as to preclude any damage due to movement or shifting of load during transit.
- Assumes responsibility for proper sorting, accounting, security, packing and loading of mail and materials during the entire distribution process to include final delivery in a neat, organized, and undamaged condition.
- Allows no unauthorized person(s) access to the vehicle or its contents. No passengers or riders except as permitted by proper authority.
- When delivering material from the Supply Center, ensure that appropriate requisitioning procedures are followed and proper signatures are obtained as required.
- Assists as directed in warehouse operations involving receiving, stocking inventory, and general warehouse housekeeping operations, to include outside custodial activities.
- Performs mail distribution and courier service when directed, and as expeditiously as possible.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor or the Director.
