DescriptionSummary of Duties
Position is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Warehouse & Stockroom, driving efficiency gains and collaborating with internal customers. They are also responsible for part activity from receipt of items to delivery in Operations. This position will identify, implement and measure departmental goals and KPI’s. It is crucial that this person displays leadership skills, such as adaptability, proactive communication;
solutions based problem solving and professionalism.
- Supervise the Stockroom and Warehouse employees’ daily work, Maintains working knowledge of all interfacing areas within the company to insure continuity of materials and paperwork flow.
- Measure efficiency and performance through reporting regarding receiving, shipping, core and return processing, overtime hours weekly, and other departmental based goals.
- Responsible for ensuring all Stockroom and Warehouse tasks are completed daily, prioritized, and communicated.
- Ensure follow up is occurring and communication with Operations on returns and cores coming due.
- Review opportunities for improvement and suggest/implement same.
- Helps identify and develop employees’ skillset.
- Extract data from Corridor and maintain metrics on performance.
- Work with internal customers (Purchasing, Operations, Accounting, etc.) to drive compliance and improve processes.
- Continuously monitors parts in staging, customer service at window, workload of sub areas to ensure control and accuracy.
- Keeps the department informed of expectations, wins, opportunities, responsibilities, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in relevant subject matter or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures. Ability to present information or respond to questions from managers, customers or the public.
- Ability to gauge and research the priority of items in work and proactively communicate with leadership regarding status consistently and continuously.
- Ability to calculate figures, ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficiency in PC use and MS office suite, Corridor including Outlook and Excel.
- Warehouse or Supply Management certification preferred.
- Experience in Aviation
