Sr. Accountant

Century Group is in search of an experienced Senior Accountant to join a team in Littleton. Qualified candidates with 3-5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience are encouraged to apply. Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $65,000 to $80,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Responding to clients on a timely basis to their inquiries, assisting with accurate financial statement presentation, and maintaining a collaborative relationship
• Prioritize workload to ensure timeliness of client deliverables
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly, maintaining supporting schedules as appropriate
• Identify and enter general ledger transactions and adjusting journal entries accurately
• Assess draft financial statements for obvious errors and trends
• Bill payment processing, invoicing, and payroll processing, as applicable
• Prepare sales and use tax calculations and associated compliance

Requirements:

• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
• CCH software, Quick Books experience a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Able to adapt to changing priorities
