Tax Accountant

Position: Staff Tax Accountant
Century Group is in search of an experienced Staff Tax Accountant to join a team in Littleton. Qualified candidates with 1-2+ years of accounting experience are encouraged to apply. Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $55,000 to $60,000 per year.

Hybrid Schedule- 3 days WFH
Extra 7 days off towards summer PTO

Job Description:

• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Month-end close management including accruals and financial statement analysis
• Prepare federal & state tax returns and associated work papers
• Interaction with clients to discuss tax issues and new tax service opportunities
• Work with senior leaders on tax planning & calculation of quarterly tax payments
• Prepare and analyze internal financial statements ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects as needed

Requirements:

• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or tax with 0-2 years of
• Public accounting experience (preferred)
• CCH software, Quick Books experience a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Able to adapt to changing priorities
