Job Description

We are a locally owned urgent care company (owned by physicians) that is looking to expand our operational care support team. This part‑time front office, non‑clinical position will serve as the main point person for all front office duties and provide administrative support to our back‑office clinical team.

Responsibilities
  • Answer the telephone.
  • Register patients on the EMR system.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient payments.
  • Scan documents.
  • Maintain accounts receivable.
  • Assist the medical team and healthcare provider in any administrative capacity.
  • Greet patients and visitors with a friendly welcome; customer service is our #1 priority.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
  • Check‑in patients, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork.
  • Assist with patient registration and update patient records.
  • Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate records in the computer system.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one year experience in an administrative or front‑desk receptionist role; prior medical setting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and coding is a plus.
  • Understanding of universal precautions, HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Team‑player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable in a fast‑paced environment, and able to multitask and work independently.
  • Proficient computer skills; working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, and familiarity with an electronic medical records system.
Schedule & Benefits

We are looking for a candidate who is available full‑time (3.5 shifts per week) with weekend flexibility every other week. Pay is competitive for the field.
