Known for integrity, safety, and collaboration, the company manages complex infrastructure projects up to $30 million and plays a key role in large-scale transportation improvements across the region.
Position SummaryThe organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong CDOT bridge experience to lead heavy civil and structural concrete projects from pre-construction through closeout.
This individual will be responsible for project budget control, scheduling, CDOT documentation, field coordination, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of heavy civil/bridge project management experience
, including direct experience with CDOT project requirements, specifications, and standards.
This position will be hired ASAP due to an internal departure.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of bridge and structural concrete projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and field execution.
- Lead and mentor project teams—including field engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors—to ensure accountability and collaboration.
- Oversee CDOT documentation, compliance reporting, pay applications, and project controls.
- Coordinate with CDOT resident engineers, inspectors, and design partners to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify risks, conflicts, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Maintain control over project schedules and budgets to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Support business development by assisting with bids, estimating, constructability reviews, and client relationship management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–10 years of project management experience in heavy civil or bridge construction.
- Direct, hands-on CDOT project management experience required.
- Strong understanding of CDOT specifications, standards, pay items, and documentation processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects up to $30M.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with project management software such as HCSS Heavy Job, Procore, or similar construction management systems.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Base Salary: $110,000 – $130,000+ (DOE)
