Job OverviewSterling Constructors is seeking a driven and technically strong Project Superintendent to join our growing Project Management division. This role is ideal for a construction professional with 5+ years of experience who thrives in both field leadership and project oversight responsibilities. You will be responsible for managing commercial and government construction projects from preconstruction through closeout—ensuring safety, quality, budget control, schedule adherence and management of subcontractor field delivery.
This is a full-time leadership position offering long-term career growth, mentorship, and the opportunity to work on impactful projects both within Colorado and occasionally out of state.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Lead and manage commercial and government construction projects from start to finish
Oversee daily on-site operations, subcontractor coordination, and site safety
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, billing, contract issuance and cost controls
Ensure projects meet contract requirements, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
Conduct regular jobsite meetings and provide progress reporting
Review and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders
Support and maintain alignment with procurement process requirements
Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements when applicable
Support preconstruction planning, estimating coordination, and value engineering efforts
Travel to project sites outside of Colorado as required
Qualifications5+ years of experience in Project Manager and/or Superintendent roles preferred
Strong technical knowledge of commercial construction methods and project lifecycle
Experience leading and/or supporting ground up delivery, major renovations and large MEP project scopes
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
Strong acumen for working in project management software systems and scheduling tools
Strong aptitude for professional growth and leadership development
Willingness to travel for out-of-state projects
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (not required)
