About The Role

As our Construction Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of all our projects. You will be the central point of contact for project‑related activities, from initial material procurement to final project completion and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for field management, coordinating with clients, ensuring projects adhere to safety regulations, and proactively resolving any issues that may arise.

This is a hands‑on role that requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to understand project scope and client requirements.
  • Accurately forecast material needs and ensure timely ordering and delivery to project sites.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Field Management
  • Schedule field crews effectively to meet project timelines and customer expectations.
  • Monitor crew performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Client Communication & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on project progress.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high‑quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
Material Management & Logistics
  • Source and procure fencing materials from approved suppliers.
  • Coordinate material deliveries to project sites, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage material storage efficiently.
Quality Control & Safety
  • Monitor project progress and quality of workmanship to ensure adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential issues.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Implement corrective actions to address any deficiencies in workmanship or safety protocols.
Issue Resolution & Problem Solving
  • Proactively identify and resolve project‑related issues, including scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and client concerns.
  • Develop creative solutions to overcome obstacles and keep projects on track.
  • Escalate complex issues to management as needed.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
  • Track project expenses and ensure adherence to budget.
  • Utilize our CRM to track project progress and manage tasks.
Occasional Support
  • Perform occasional punch list and warranty work to address minor issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with creating sales estimates based on project requirements and material costs.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in the industry, including foreman/crew‑lead experience, material ordering/inventory management, tool management, crew scheduling, client‑facing customer service, and strong knowledge of materials and installation methods for cedar and ornamental fences.
  • Skills:

    Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; strong organizational and time management skills; positive attitude; proficient in English and Spanish; proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Jobber, Housecall Pro, etc.); knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations; ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License:
    Required with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable Vehicle:
    This position will be eligible for a company truck when the business hits certain milestones, but on day 1 you will need to provide your own vehicle and you will be reimbursed for business mileage at the IRS Mileage Reimbursement Rate.
