About this position
Spyder Construction is a full-service general contractor specializing in large loss insurance restoration, structural repairs, capital improvement, and roofing projects for commercial and multi-family properties. We are committed to excellence and providing first-class service to every client on every project through clear communication, dedicated project management, and the experience of our team.
What You Will Own- Lead assigned projects from pre-construction through closeout, fully accountable for delivering on time and on budget.
- Build and maintain project schedules, including the master schedule and 3-week look ahead, in close coordination with Superintendents and Foremen.
- Manage project financials end to end: budgeting, subcontractor buyout, projections, and margin protection.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, run OAC meetings, and provide clear, consistent status updates.
- Lead and mentor field staff, setting clear roles and holding the work to Spyder standards.
- Drive pre-construction activities: RFIs, submittals, customer selections, subcontractor vetting, and subcontract execution.
- Keep every project documented to Spyder Construction SOPs for files, folders, and forms.
- Conduct project walks at each key milestone (pre-punch, demo, rough, pre-drywall and paint, punch, inspections, and closeout) to verify quality and compliance.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, permits, and subcontractor resources for cost‑effective, on‑time delivery.
- Enforce all OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations through regular site inspections.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of project management experience, ideally in restoration, insurance claim, or emergency response work (fire, flood, mold, storm).
- A track record of precise financial management: budgeting, buyout, projections, margin adjustments, and cost tracking.
- Strong organization and planning skills, including time management, prioritization, and execution of complex, detail‑heavy projects.
- Proven leadership and communication skills to direct field teams, resolve issues, and represent Spyder with professionalism.
- Own the Outcome. Start it, finish it, own it.
- Deliver Consistently. Maintain our standard, every time, everywhere.
- Forge Real Relationships. Be authentic, earn trust.
- Stay Gritty, Keep Growing. Push hard, keep improving.
This role works across both office and field environments. You should be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions. Regular travel between job sites may be required.
Compensation and Benefits- Salary range: $95,000 to $145,000 per year, based on experience.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) with 4% company match.
- Paid time off and sick leave.
- Optional accident and critical illness insurance.
- Employee Assistance Program.
