JOB SUMMARY

For this position, we are looking for a consultant/contractor to work as a part of our project-based flexible team. Hours are based on customer need and ideally looking for someone who can start a project quickly and be available as needed. There is always the opportunity to be hired full time as we grow.

Enabled Energy is growing our Delivery organization and strengthening our PMO practices. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Manager to lead complex construction, consulting, engineering, energy and technical advisory projects. This role may manage both implementation and advisory/assessment-based client engagements.

The Senior Project Manager / Project Manager owns project delivery from initiation through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, communication, stakeholder alignment, and overall project performance.

This role works closely with Construction Managers, Engineering, Project Controls, Procurement, Finance, subcontractors, vendors, and client teams to deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Travel:
Across the United States and Canada is required based on project needs.

EXPERIENCE
  • Active PMP certification is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in construction, energy, data center, mission critical, mechanical, electrical, controls, engineering consulting or related technical environments. Experience managing both fixed-fee and time and materials engagements preferred.
  • Strong ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, risk, change management, communication, and closeout.
  • Excellent communication, organization, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different regions while maintaining clear accountability and follow-through.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, documentation, process compliance, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Project Delivery
  • Lead assigned projects and professional service engagements from initiation through closeout. Responsibilities may include planning, engineering, assessments, audits, procurement, construction, commissioning, reporting, stakeholder management, and final deliverable acceptance.
Scope, Schedule, and Budget
  • Manage project scope, baseline schedules, cost forecasts, change impacts, budget performance, and delivery commitments. Keep project plans current, realistic, and aligned with EE standards.
Communication and Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and leadership. Provide clear updates on status, risks, blockers, decisions, and next actions.
Risk, Change, and Issue Management
  • Identify and manage project risks, scope gaps, procurement delays, resource constraints, and stakeholder conflicts. Lead mitigation, escalation, resolution, and documentation.
Procurement and Subcontractor Coordination
  • Coordinate with Construction Managers, Procurement, and Project Controls on subcontractor onboarding, scope definition, material planning, purchase orders, vendor coordination, and delivery tracking.
