Job Summary

The National Construction Superintendent is required to travel across the country to respond to restoration and/or reconstruction losses nationwide and provide on-site superintendent support. Emergencies can occur at any time and require immediate mobilization. During emergency response operations, the National Construction Superintendent conducts on-site damage assessments, establishes operational priorities, mobilizes crews and subcontractors, and leads recovery efforts designed to minimize property damage, business interruption, and liability.

They are responsible for overseeing multiple technicians while simultaneously managing the production of multiple construction (repair) projects that are generally outsourced to subcontractors. This role collaborates with subcontractors to determine the scope of work, negotiate prices, coordinate schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. The National Construction Superintendent manages field teams, materials, and project timelines while working closely with clients and internal departments to deliver successful project outcomes.

This position reports directly to Regional Operations Manager and interfaces regularly with other departments as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates and communicate effectively with adjusters, customers, co-workers and contractors – articulating scope of work, expectations, timelines.
  • Respond to losses nationwide, including traveling to project sites on short notice to provide on-site leadership and operational support.
  • Responsible for negotiating pricing, confer and obtain approval to proceed from Branch Manager, National Operations Manager, and/or Regional Operations Manager.
