Cross of Christ seeks Praise Band Leader

Cross of Christ is looking for a Praise Band Leader.

The Praise Band Leader will have the responsibility to manage and oversee the Praise Band and the modern worship music at Cross of Christ. To further the music programs within the church, it is our desire that this person be actively involved in the worship life of the congregation.

This is a part time positions:
Up to 10 hours a week on average
Pay Range is $21-$24/ hour

Cross of Christ currently has three separate music positions open (Director of Music Ministry, Praise Band Leader, and Accompanist/Organist). If you feel qualified, please apply for one or more of these positions.

Worship Planning Responsibilities:

• Support a music ministry that is spiritually impactful to all members and guests
• Participate in the planning of worship and other musical activities in the congregation
• Participate in weekly worship planning meetings with pastoral staff and Director of Music Ministry
• Participate in staff meetings when necessary
• Communicate the worship plan with the accompanist, A/V ministers, and the church office in a timely manner

Praise Band (Proclaim) duties and responsibilities:

• Participate as a lead member in the band
• Select and conduct worship music for the band with weekly rehearsals
• Prepare and schedule the band to sing most Sundays throughout the year.
• Purchase and set up Multitracks with the band to enhance worship
• Recruit, train, encourage and support the instrumental and vocal musicians from all age groups within the congregation.

Other Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with the Director of Music Ministry and Lead Pastor
• Provide for proper care of instruments and equipment
• Maintain Contemporary Music library organization
• Develop a roster of substitute musicians / accompanist in the event of absence
• Dress appropriately for worship and present themselves in behavior conducive to worship leadership
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Lead Pastor
