- Actively engages and interacts with children in the Child Care program in various settings.
- Assists with the supervision, monitoring and tracking of children in various settings.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to all safety regulations and emergency procedures.
- Encourage positive behavior and help maintain a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Follows all licensing and district policies and procedures for School Age Child Care.
- Greet parents and refer questions and concerns to the program manager when needed and appropriate.
- Completes all tasks assigned by the Program Manager, Assistant Manager, or Activity Leaders.
- Must work directly under the supervision of the Program Manager, Assistant Manager, or Activity Leaders.
- Contributes ideas and helps prepare enriching activities for children in the program.
- Cleaning, organizing, and straightening areas as needed on a daily basis.
- Prepare and set up snacks according to licensing requirements, and assist with cleanup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Experience- Two years of high school, vocational school or equivalent on-the-job training and experience.
- Experience with children is preferred but not required.
Starting pay is $19.41 an hour. Classified Salary Schedule. Year Round Calendar.
