Position PurposeResponsible for providing instructional support in the classroom, including working one-on-one and in groups with students to reinforce lessons/curriculum; organizing and maintaining student data; participating in evening functions; assisting with student testing, supporting lunch and recess duties; and keeping an inventory of equipment and supplies.
Essential Duties- Assist students in the completion of assignments as appropriate. Oversee students as they work independently or in groups, in the classroom, resource area/lab or other designated areas.
- Monitor students during tests; administer make-up exams as directed.
- Assist teachers in grading assignments and tests as requested. Assist teachers in the preparation of instructional materials.
- Assist in maintenance of departmental files and records.
- Assist in inventory of instructional material and equipment. Use copier as needed.
- Monitor lunch and recesses for multiple grade-levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
6.3 hours/day
Starting salary:
Grade 4, $19.41/hour — Classified Salary Schedule
Work Year: 180 contract days (Classified calendar)
