- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain and demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing needs;
- Knowledge of current special education laws and practices;
- Demonstrate effective group facilitation skills; ability to work individually with students;
- Knowledge of best practices in assessment, service delivery and response to intervention models;
- Demonstrate ability in using data in developing IEPs, functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, danger assessments and crisis intervention;
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with colleagues, students and parents;
- Desire and ability to function as a team member; ability to work with students in whole class and small group settings;
- Knowledge of effective behavior management techniques; knowledge of running effective counseling groups; case management; crisis intervention;
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 60 graduate semester hours for the preparation of school psychologist.
- Hold or be eligible to hold a Colorado Department of Education License.
- Hold appropriate endorsement(s) as school psychologist.
- Successful completion of internship in school psychology.
- Previous teaching experience subject area and/or level desirable.
Annual salary schedule based on 1.0 FTE. Work year: 187 contract days (district educator calendar). FTE: 1.0

While you may look up your estimated salary on the linked salary schedule, updates for the school year are contingent upon negotiated increases that are approved by the LPS Board of Education in the summer season. Additionally, know that these salary values are based on a 1.0 FTE working 187 contract days.
