Aspen Academy offers a part‑time Early Childhood Teacher position for the remainder of the 26‑27 School Year. The role requires working with multiple age groups in the same day, planning and adjusting learning experiences, and collaborating with a talented team.
Under the direction of the Extended Care Program Lead, the position provides after‑school care and programming for up to 45 students, ages 5‑11. The term runs from August 19, 2026 through June 4, 2027.
Hours- After‑care:
Monday – Friday, 3 pm – 6 pm - Optional monthly half‑day and full‑day shifts during in‑service days
- Early Childhood Teacher / Lead Teacher: $18 – $25 per hour
- Aide / Assistant Teacher: $16 – $20 per hour
- No weekends or late nights
- School breaks off (including Thanksgiving, winter break, and spring break)

- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Plan, implement, and support age‑appropriate games and activities.

- Prepare and supervise snacks.
- Keep classrooms and play areas clean, neat, and presentable; follow closing procedures daily.
- Notify the Director and Extended Care Lead Teacher of any problems or concerns during extended care.

Requirements- Minimum: high energy, passion for teaching great kids; 16 years or older.
- Early Childhood Teachers (ECT)
- Preferred: 1–2 + years of experience working in licensed child‑care programs.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or some college coursework in education, child development, or related field. - Aides
- Preferred:
Experience working with children. - Excellent communication skills, organization, and time‑management abilities.
- Diplomacy and tact when interacting with community, staff, and the public.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Consent to a background check.
- Ability to meet physical demands: work full time, including occasional evenings and weekends; work in person in the school building; speak for long periods; stand, walk, use hands; reach with arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; lift up to 25 lb regularly and occasionally up to 50 lb.
