ResponsibilitiesInterpret sign language into oral or written language within the school setting; provide individual and/or small group instructional strategies under the supervision of licensed staff; monitor and support students during special activities; prepare and modify instructional materials to meet language and auditory needs; collect data for IEP goals and behavior plans; monitor and provide feedback to staff on student progress. Must work effectively with a multi‑disciplinary team and demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills.
Position may require travel between schools.
- Associates Degree or completion of an Educational Interpreter Program
- Previous experience as an interpreter in an educational setting desirable
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Educational Interpreter certificate issued by the Colorado Department of Education.
- CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
- Without EIPA Authorization, must be able to pass a Boys Town Screener and EIPA Assessment within the year.
