Special Education Teacher - Littleton, CO

Bring your expertise in special education to a vibrant center-based classroom environment for the upcoming academic year! This full-time, on-site contract position is located near Littleton, CO, with a start date of August 11 and continuing through May 21. You’ll play a key role in shaping inclusive education for students whose age group and school site will be determined during placement.

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement; must be active or proof of application submitted
• Extensive experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings
• Comprehensive understanding of instructional practices, specially designed instruction, and strategies for supporting students working on alternative achievement standards
• Deep knowledge of the IEP process, from development through implementation
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with fellow educators, related service providers, and families as part of an IEP team
• Commitment to a fully in-person role; VOCO/hybrid placements are not available

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction in a center-based classroom
• Develop, adapt, and implement lessons aligning with students’ IEP goals and alternative standards, fostering measurable academic and social growth
• Maintain accurate educational records and data supporting IEP compliance
• Engage meaningfully with the IEP team, sharing actionable insights and regularly communicating student progress
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive atmosphere that values each student’s strengths and unique potential
