Responsible for providing appropriate and timely care to sick and/or injured students; creating, updating, and managing immunization records and related student records; contacting parents as needed; administering and documenting medications provided to students; maintaining clinic inventory; monitor and support implementation of Health Care Action Plans.
Essential Duties- Create immunization records in the District's student information database and update and follow‑up with non‑compliant students.
- Provide appropriate and timely care to sick and/or injured students.
- Monitor and support implementation of Health Care Action Plans.
- Document on the clinic register all students who visit and leave the clinic.
- Contact parents/emergency contacts as needed to arrange for student pick‑up if necessary.
- Administer and document medications to students.
- Input data into the District's student information database regarding students who leave the school sick.
- Compile and update medications consent forms and send to area nurse.
- Maintain adequate supplies in clinic; order supplies as needed.
- Count controlled medications.
- Produce mailing to parents of students not in compliance with immunizations.
- Coordinate and schedule immunization clinics.
- Verify that each student in school has emergency card and media release card.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Related Work Experience- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required; experience in CPR/First Aid and working with students preferred.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required.
- Medication and universal precautions training/certifications required.
