Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher for our retail lesson studio. In this role, you'll provide individual and small group instruction on band and orchestra instruments, develop customized lesson plans, and prepare students for school programs, recitals, and auditions. You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and repairs, ensuring students and parents have what they need to succeed.

The ideal candidate has strong performance or teaching experience, excellent communication skills, a student first mindset, and a desire to grow within a mission driven music retail and education environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group music lessons in store lesson studios
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to student goals, age, and skill level
• Prepare students for school performances, recitals, and auditions
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians
• Recommend instruments, accessories, and materials to support learning
• Collaborate with store staff on rentals, repairs, and scheduling
• Maintain accurate student attendance and progress records
• Create a positive, inclusive, student focused learning environment
• Follow company teaching standards and safety policies
• Participate in occasional events, recitals, or outreach activities
