Piano Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a Piano Music Teacher to provide high quality private and small group piano lessons in our retail store. You will assess student skill levels, create individualized lesson plans, and teach technique, theory, sight reading, and performance skills to students of all ages. Responsibilities include tracking student progress, preparing students for recitals and auditions, and collaborating with store staff to grow the lesson program.

You'll foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports our mission of advancing music education in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group piano lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Assess student abilities and develop individualized lesson plans and learning goals
• Teach piano technique, music theory, sight reading, and performance skills
• Track and communicate student progress to students and parents/guardians
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and performance opportunities
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and motivating studio environment
• Collaborate with store staff to support and grow the lesson program
• Uphold Music & Arts policies and ensure a safe, professional teaching space
