Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior GNC Engineer to conduct analyses of spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control systems to meet mission requirements. This role focuses on simulation, performance evaluation, and system-level analysis, while also contributing to flight software development in C++. This individual will be responsible for providing technical feedback to Systems Engineering for mission design and CONOPS, as well as actuator and sensor performance requirements.
Proficiency in C++, Python, or MATLAB is required for developing and maintaining modeling, simulation, and analysis tools. We offer a hybrid schedule that blends in-person collaboration from our Littleton, CO facility and remote flexibility.
- Perform high-fidelity modeling and simulation of spacecraft GNC systems across mission phases.
- Conduct Monte Carlo analyses, covariance studies, and performance assessments to validate GNC algorithms.
- Develop and maintain simulation tools and flight software components.
- Analyze sensor and actuator performance, including propulsion subsystems, star trackers, IMUs, reaction wheels, and GNSS.
- Develop or modify C++ flight software GNC components and flight software configuration.
- Support verification and validation of flight software through unit testing and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, mission design, and flight software teams to ensure GNC performance meets mission requirements.
- Document analysis results, software interfaces, and validation procedures.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in spacecraft GNC analysis and simulation.
- Strong understanding of spacecraft dynamics, control systems, and estimation techniques (e.g., Kalman filtering).
- Experience with developing Monte Carlo simulations and numerical analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Based in the Denver metro area.
- Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Experience with ASI's MAX Flight Software.
- Experience developing flight software for space missions.
- Experience with phasing and other GNC-related spacecraft tests.
- Familiarity with Linux development environments and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Physical DemandsThis position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 20 Lbs. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching may be required.
