Requirements
Must have:
- Expertise in Antennas or Electronically Steerable Antennas (ESA)
- Competence in developing and evaluating technical requirements; performing trade studies and allocating functions to RF payloads, subsystems, and components
- Proven experience in analyzing and validating technical requirements and functions for engineering systems
- Familiarity with reviewing supplier and factory data to ensure compliance with RF engineering criteria
- Understanding of RF communications systems link budget analysis
- Active Top Secret clearance; must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance; US citizenship required
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
- Degree in electrical engineering or a related STEM field/certification
- Proficient in developing specifications and interface definitions for RF antenna components and subsystems
- Experience with software tools like Agilent ADS (Advanced Design System), Ansys HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator), AWR Microwave Office, or equivalent
- Proficient in antenna design and analysis tools such as GRASP, HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, WIPL-D, FEKO, or similar
- Experience designing antennas and feed networks, including reflectors, waveguide components, horns, helices, phased arrays, or similar hardware
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively engage with customers, suppliers, management, and colleagues
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of antenna element hardware, from initial concept through design, modeling/analysis, system integration, test plan creation, and component qualification
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure innovative and effective RF solutions
- Conduct detailed analyses and verifications of technical requirements and functions
- Review and assess supplier data to validate compliance with RF engineering standards
- Provide guidance on technical requirements and engage in trade studies
- Develop specifications and interface definitions for RF components and subsystems
- Utilize advanced software tools to aid in antenna design and analysis
- Maintain communication with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success
