• Oversee day-to-day field construction for underground transmission line projects.
• Conduct inspections to verify all work meets drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Create accurate, detailed daily inspection reports.
• Collaborate closely with contractors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Observe and document field tests, such as concrete and soil testing.
• Maintain contract documents, permits, and updated “as‑built” drawings.
• Participate in construction meetings and coordinate with local officials, right‑of‑way agents, and permitting authorities.
• Uphold and promote a safety‑first culture, taking corrective action when needed.

• 5+ years of experience in transmission, distribution, or substation line work.
• Prior underground utility construction and inspection experience — especially in urban settings — preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction principles, specifications, and OSHA regulations (especially trenching/shoring).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, ArcGIS, or Field Maps a plus.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and adaptability skills.

• Field‑based work across both urban and remote project sites.
• Requires walking up to three miles per day, climbing, bending, and working in varied weather.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate a vehicle for field inspections.
