Pay Rate: $45-$55/hour

What You’ll Do- Oversee day-to-day field construction for underground transmission line projects.
- Conduct inspections to verify all work meets drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Create accurate, detailed daily inspection reports.
- Collaborate closely with contractors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Observe and document field tests, such as concrete and soil testing.
- Maintain contract documents, permits, and updated “as‑built” drawings.
- Participate in construction meetings and coordinate with local officials, right‑of‑way agents, and permitting authorities.
- Uphold and promote a safety‑first culture, taking corrective action when needed.
- 5+ years of experience in transmission, distribution, or substation line work.
- Prior underground utility construction and inspection experience — especially in urban settings — preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction principles, specifications, and OSHA regulations (especially trenching/shoring).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, ArcGIS, or Field Maps a plus.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and adaptability skills.
- Field‑based work across both urban and remote project sites.
- Requires walking up to three miles per day, climbing, bending, and working in varied weather.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate a vehicle for field inspections.
