System Engineer

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

• Job Type: Contract (Up to 11 months with potential for extension)

• Develop and/or update Preliminary Hazard Lists (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analyses (PHA), Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA), System Hazard Analyses (SHA), and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR).
• Prepare presentations and participate in Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and other safety review forums.
• Support development and updates of system safety documentation to meet customer, range safety, and contractual requirements.
• Review test procedures to ensure adherence to system safety requirements.
• Coordinate with test range safety teams and prepare range safety reports to support testing.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a Hazard Tracking System (HTS) to document hazards and mitigation strategies.
• Support IRAD and capture activities as needed.
• Participate in software safety activities as required.

• Clearance: Ability to obtain
• Experience participating in System Safety Working Groups (SSWG), WSESRB, SSSTRP, or similar forums.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to interface with customers and program management.
• Experience building and communicating safety cases for redesign or risk acceptance.
• Requirements management and development experience, including DOORS.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
