As our SSE, your responsibilities will also include the following tasks:

• Develop and/or update Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analyses (FHAs), System Hazard Analyses (SHA), and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR)

• Prepare presentations and participate in Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and various working groups and safety review meetings

• Support the development and updating of System Safety documents to support Customer, Range Safety, and contractual requirements

• Review and provide input to test procedures for adherence to System Safety requirements

• Coordinate with test range safety teams and writing range safety reports to support testing

• Assist in the development and maintenance of a Hazard Tracking System (HTS) used to document real and potential hazards, their assessments, and their respective mitigation's. Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in an engineering or related discipline
• Knowledge of System Safety Standards (ex. Mil-STD-882E)

• Demonstrated knowledge and application of System Safety design and operations safety principles to include experience with hazard identification, analysis, risk mitigation and/or associated deliverable documentation.

Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and interact in group meeting/working environments with team members, development organizations and customers.

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Current Active TS Clearance

• US Citizenship.
Desired

Skills:

• TS-SCI with Poly
• Experience using MIL-STD-882E, DO-178C, AFSPCMAN 91-710, or other relevant industry and/or range safety standards

• Software system safety experience
• Experience participating in DoD System Safety Working Groups

• Familiarity with DOORs #SpaceNSS
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
