We are the voice steering today's design decisions to drive tomorrow's production success. This Manufacturing Engineering position will support mechanical Design for Manufacturing and requires in-depth knowledge of Machining, Mechanisms, and mechanical assembly. Firm understanding of engineering drawings, parts lists, CAD coupled with innovative thinking is a must. This position will integrate with mechanical design teams at the beginning of product lifecycle, supporting the entire process from initial concepts to Engineering drawing.

In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team while staying true to production goals and how they influence design decisions.

• Provide cost trades during design cycles to describe and defend producibility choices.

• Knowledge base should include production level support manufacturing machined details, mechanical assembly, mechanisms assembly and test, and hands on assembly experience. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office. #LI-CS1

Basic Qualifications:

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education,
• 3+ years of professional experience.

• Demonstrated experience with design for producibility (DFx/DFm) principles.

• Experience with machining and mechanisms manufacturing.

• Direct experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar technical authority in production.

• Working knowledge of CAD systems and Manufacturing ERP systems, such as CREO and VE-CAMs.

• Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and experience with precision machining/tolerances, and assembly sequences.

• Demonstrated understanding of industry standards for mechanical assembly requirements.

• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance , to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
