Project Engineer Sr
Join Our Team as an Avionics Project Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state‑of‑the‑art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.
Location:
This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full‑time.
Raptor Avionics is a hardware design group. We support multiple projects and programs with circuit board design and analysis.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:- Manage Microsoft projects, including stakeholder engagement, resource optimization, communication, and quality control.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and provide financial KPIs for month‑end activities, including SPI, CPI, ETC, EAC, BAC, and variance updates.
- Conduct thorough reviews of contractual documents such as SOW, technical specifications, RFPs, and change orders to ensure scope compliance and adequacy.
- Deliver weekly verbal and written status reports, highlighting project milestones and progress.
- Manage cross‑functional discipline through full project lifecycle management, from proposal phase to delivery, adhering to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Proactively address supply chain challenges by implementing strategic solutions.
- Coordinate weekly execution meetings with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Foster strong, lasting relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to promote collaborative partnerships.
- Experience in avionics project management
- A Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of professional experience.
- US Citizenship as this position requires access to Export Controlled Information (ECI).
- Highly proficient in managing Microsoft projects, including stakeholder engagement, resource optimization, communication, and quality control.
- Proficient in Earned Value methods. Manages project budgets, monitors expenses, and provides financial KPIs for month‑end activities, including SPI, CPI, ETC, EAC, BAC, and variance updates.
- Experience in contractual documents such as SOW, technical specifications, RFPs, and change orders to ensure scope compliance and adequacy.
Onsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
