Job description

  • Lead medium- to high-complexity capital investment projects in accordance with CPP processes.
  • Develop and present feasibility studies, business cases, cost estimates, schedules, and forecasts.
  • Optimize technical solutions through option analysis to meet cost, performance, and business objectives.
  • Own equipment and work specifications; ensure technical and commercial design reviews for safety, quality, and functionality.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including plant personnel, engineers, procurement, and external contractors.
  • Manage contractor selection, bid documentation, evaluations, sourcing strategy, and contract compliance.
  • Review mechanical and electrical controls engineering; ensure adherence to specifications and contracts.
  • Ensure safe, ergonomic, and environmentally compliant design; address permitting and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide project oversight across all phases, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement through lessons learned.
  • Prepare and deliver training for operations and maintenance teams.
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership on project status, risks, and changes.
  • Document, archive, and report project outcomes; share results across engineering teams.
  • Support automation, packaging improvements, and ongoing process optimization.
  • Coach and mentor project team members and operations partners.
  • Stay current with technology trends via vendor engagement and industry events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical).
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven project management experience on capital projects up to $25M+.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing contractors, bid processes, schedules, estimates, and change management.
  • Solid knowledge of contracts, legal requirements, and commercial project controls.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera); SAP exposure preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance and interface across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (30%-60%).
