Purpose
Perform the design and provide engineering services as they relate to oil & gas, heavy industrial, and manufacturing facility projects.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
- Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially on difficult assignments and possible solutions. Work is completed using standard engineering techniques and design principles and is reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound professional judgement.
At the Operational and Company Level
- Work closely with more senior members to learn about and assist with structural engineering work.
Do the Work
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on moderately complex projects, under senior level staff supervision.
- Complete design work using computer aided software.
- Assist with preparing reports and correspondence concerning the direction of assigned projects.
- Assist with performing existing facility inspections, assessments, and preparation of reports.
- Review plans and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering or related engineering discipline required at time of employment.
- Entry level position, no prior experience required. Previous engineering experience a plus.
- E.I.T. registration preferred, with desire to work towards PE/SE.
- Experience with computer applications and design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, STAAD, and Microsoft Office. Advance Steel experience preferred.
- Proficient reading construction plans and technical writing.
- Working knowledge of AISC-360, ACI 318, NDS, IBC, and IRC.

Salary and eligible variable compensation (if any) commensurate with experience. Range is $84,000 to $130,000 annually and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
