Join Our Team as a Circuit Design Engineer that enables successful manufacture, test, and delivery of critical power components for the LM2100 and LM400 satellites. As part of a central organization, our team supports a wide variety of exciting space programs and customers. This is an opportunity to provide cradle‑to‑grave design engineering support for critical satellite components.
Location & Work ScheduleOnsite in Littleton, CO. This position does not support teleworking. Work will be performed in the office full‑time on a flexible 9×80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop power electronics assemblies.
- Provide manufacturing and test support, including defect and anomaly resolution.
- Support failure investigation processes, troubleshooting, and discrepancy resolution.
- Lead requirements management, verification, and hardware acceptance.
- Act as a technical liaison for the hardware with both Production and Program teams.
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Prior work designing and analyzing Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
- Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Professional experience with analog/power circuit design and circuit analysis.
- Component/unit level testing and troubleshooting experience.
- Aerospace electronics including power subsystem components.
- Problem solving and electronics troubleshooting skills, including root cause and failure overstress analysis.
- DC-to-DC converter topologies such as Flyback, Buck, and Boost.
- Control loops, including discrete pulse width modulation.
- Experience with Material Review Board.
- Systems engineering and requirements verification.
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as Zuken, LTspice, MATHCAD, or similar.
- Worst‑Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and Electrical Part Stress Analysis (EPSA).
- Selection of parts for high reliability applications.
- Circuit board layout and principles.
- Program reviews such as Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Manufacturing Readiness Review, and Test Readiness Review.
