Position Overview
We are seeking a System Integration/Test Engineer to join the GPS integration and test team within Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations. The role involves planning and executing electrical floor operations, developing automated test scripts and procedures, and documenting spacecraft testing at factory and launch sites.
Responsibilities- Understand and apply spacecraft Test Engineering principles.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts for satellite testing.
- Plan spacecraft-level test flow.
- Support Systems Engineering and Certified Principle Engineers (CPEs) in verifying test requirements.
- Collaborate with external teams to resolve spacecraft and EGSE performance issues.
- Support test procedure closure activities in the Automation Framework.
- Plan and execute EGSE verification procedures, including RF test systems, and perform nominal electrical procedures/scripts from ground test stations.
- Work overtime and support off‑shifts and/or weekends in a 24/7 operations environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related experience.
- Prior test experience.
- Proficiency with a high‑level scripting language (Python, PHP, Ruby, etc.) for automated test script development, debugging, and execution.
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret government security clearance.
- Secret security clearance preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience as a Test Conductor on Space Vehicle Integration and Test Programs, including component and system‑level functional and environmental testing.
- Experience in Space Vehicle Test Operations, test development, execution, data analysis, and anomaly resolution.
- Excellent technical writing, planning, and verbal communication skills; strong social skills; ability to build consensus among peers.
- Basic understanding of systems‑thinking skills and behaviors.
Position requires a Secret government security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain clearance.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $73,400 – $129,260 (annual base) depending on location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
