The Erebus Program is a newly announced 7‑year effort delivering cutting‑edge intelligence and geospatial‑data management applications to the National Geospatial‑Intelligence Agency. The program supports more than 14,000 analysts and decision‑makers worldwide.
We are looking for an Associate Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership across software and systems domains, drive integration‑and‑test activities, and mentor engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Bridge software and systems architecture, engineering, integration and test, failure and risk management.
- Lead the integration and test of complex systems.
- Encourage best practices and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
- Coordinate with leadership teams in Littleton, CO and NGA facilities in St. Louis and Springfield, VA.
- Share and drive the technical vision for project development and system lifecycle.
- Proven experience in software engineering with a strong development background.
- Demonstrated systems engineering experience and ability to manage complex system life cycles.
- Hands‑on experience with integration & test activities, including test plan development and execution.
- Prior engineering leadership experience, such as leading a small to medium‑size team.
- TS clearance needed to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI Poly.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with software architecture design of modular, reusable, high‑performance frameworks.
- Systems architecture experience integrating hardware, software and networking components.
- Risk management skills in identifying analysis, mitigation planning and tracking.
- Failure resolution skills: investigate, root‑cause and remediate system failures.
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Experience with model‑based systems engineering tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo).
- Knowledge of Agile/Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines.
This position requires a government security clearance and the candidate must be a US Citizen. TS/SCI with Poly is required.
Schedule and Location- Work is onsite full‑time at designated Lockheed Martin facilities.
- Standard 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Annual base salary range varies by location (e.g., $118,700‑$209,300 in the specified states).
