Electronics Design Engineer
Location:
Littleton, CO (Lockheed Martin Space facility). This position does not support teleworking. Work is on‑site full‑time with a flexible 9x80 schedule.
- Work with a cross‑functional team to support the development, production, and certification of a Thrust Vector Controller electronics unit.
- Participate in design reviews, Engineering Material Review Board (EMRB) hardware discrepancy decisions, and Failure Review Board (FRB) as required.
- Resolve test anomalies through troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to the End Item Data Package for product certification and integration of assemblies into the system.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- 3+ years of professional experience in analog and digital electronics development for avionics systems.
- Experience in the development and production of analog or digital electronic circuitry.
- Familiarity with engineering processes and end‑item hardware development.
- Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
- Experience in different phases of aerospace electronic component development cycle.
- Experience interacting with peers, management, and government customers.
- Proficiency in presentations and written communications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; US citizenship is required.
- Experience in launch vehicle or missile systems.
- Experience in propulsion integration.
- Experience in spacecraft upper‑stage control systems.
- Ability to work with propulsion, structures, avionics, and software teams.
- Experience as an Electronics Product Engineer in efforts to certify avionics hardware and its interfaces to other systems for flight readiness.
- Develop systems integration and test plans while supporting both system and subsystem integration test execution, including environmental and ground testing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in presentation skills and associated tools.
- Knowledge of subsystem and system requirements and processes.
- Material Review Board (MRB) experience.
- Ability to interpret electrical and wiring schematics.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics, ORCAD, Zuken, or comparable drawing packages.
DoD Secret clearance required; US citizenship required.
Compensation and BenefitsPay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $97,100 - $171,235. For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
