Space Vehicle Electrical Test Engineer

Lockheed Martin Space’s Space Protection Programs (SPP) is seeking an experienced professional to lead critical test activities for space vehicle systems.

• Lead systems integration and test execution efforts
• Develop and review test artifacts
• Oversee test execution of subsystem and system‑level tests
• Document test results and test discrepancies
• Lead test anomaly and troubleshooting efforts
• Moderate multidisciplinary group interactions to synthesize test plans and procedures that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Perform to functional and technical specifications and standards
• Aid in solutions for hardware/software interface problems
• Ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem through test product execution
• Coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with support organizations
• Perform impromptu briefs of test status or discrepancies to customer representatives or program management
• Work within a fast‑paced production operations environment that may include 24/7 support and travel to support full lifecycle operations

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related experience
• Ability to lead a team through execution of established procedures and processes
• Previous test experience
• Proficiency with a high‑level scripting language (Python, PHP, Ruby, etc.) for automated test script development, debugging, and execution

• Experienced test conductor on space vehicle integration and test programs, including component and system‑level functional and environmental test
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as bench‑top power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators
• Experience in space vehicle test operations, including test development process, test execution, data analysis, and anomaly resolution
• Excellent technical writing, planning, and verbal communication skills; strong social skills; ability to achieve consensus among peers while building solid relationships
• Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors

US citizen with an active Top Secret with polygraph (TS/SCI w/Poly)

• Onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility

  9×80, every other Friday off

Annual base salary range for this position in selected US states: $109,200 – $192,510. Salary for other states will reflect the final work location. The figure is a general guideline; the final offer is based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions.
