About the RoleThis role will be a valued member of a tight‑knit engineering team responsible for a variety of GNC (guidance, navigation & control) hardware. The focus is on NGI (Next Generation Interceptor) star tracker and inertial measurement unit hardware. From procurement through manufacturing, test, delivery, and integration into the next higher assembly, you will work with a variety of subject‑matter experts. The role also includes collaboration with external entities such as customers and suppliers and may require business travel.
Responsibilities- Support multiple programs within Lockheed Martin Space related to GNC hardware.
- Oversee procurement, manufacturing, test, delivery, and integration of hardware.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
- Manage travel requirements for business engagements.
- At least 3+ years of related experience in hardware development.
- Post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline is preferred.
- Familiarity with GNC subsystem components and applications.
- Experience working with hardware development, including build, test, and integration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Interim Secret clearance required at start; eligibility to obtain Interim Secret.
- Requirement to obtain and maintain a government‑issued Secret clearance for long‑term employment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with hardware non‑conformances, test failures, and supplier management.
- Experience reviewing analyses, manufacturing, test, and delivery documentation.
- Experience developing charts and presenting to program leadership and customers.
- Familiarity with star trackers, other optical hardware, inertial measurement units or MEMS devices.
- Familiarity with missile navigation.
- Active Secret clearance.

Work ScheduleOnsite full‑time. Standard 40‑hour week or condensed schedules available. Sample schedule: 9x80 with every other Friday off.
