- Perform detailed structural design and analysis on spacecraft components and the entire spacecraft system
- Provide technical memos and recommendations to support peer and customer reviews
- Present design and analysis data to the spacecraft design/engineering team, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and formal design reviews
- Provide review, interpretation, flow-down, and implementation of program requirements
- Provide test support for component-level and system-level structural tests
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related technical field) or equivalent experience/combined education
- Comprehensive understanding of structural analysis methods and processes (e.g., load paths, mechanical joints, stress/strain, fatigue/fracture, buckling, classical hand calculations)
- Experience with finite element numerical solution tools (e.g., NX & NX Nastran, or equivalent)
- Active Top Secret or SCI Security Clearance prior to start
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in structural analysis of space structures
- Experience with engineering level computer programming (e.g., Matlab)
- Experience with test engineering, instrumentation, data collection, and/or test reports
- Self‑motivated with an active interest to learn from and engage with a team
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
