Description

Responsibilities- Apply advanced concepts in electrical, electronics and physics disciplines for Survivability engineering tasks.
- Ensure military space vehicle and missile designs meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified natural space and man‑made radiation environments.
- Conduct technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and analysis, design, test planning and execution, documentation, and requirements verification/validation to support overall system needs.
- Act as technical consultant for management and customers.
- Join the enterprise Survivability Engineering group; mentor and lead peers.
- Serve as key technical lead, independently directing Survivability tasks and driving timely, high‑quality results while collaborating across FM program teams.
- Experience with man‑made nuclear and natural space radiation environments and nuclear hardness, survivability engineering.
- Conducting radiation assessments and analyses.
- Technical knowledge related to spacecraft / missile development lifecycle and requirements compliance.
- Active or current Secret Security Clearance with willingness or eligibility to obtain a Top Secret Security clearance; US citizenship required.
- Advanced degree in nuclear engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar.
- 12+ years combined expertise in natural space radiation and man‑made environments and engineering.
- Experience with radiation software tools such as MCNP, NOVICE, Srim/Trim, Geant4, Creme, Shieldose, Spenvis, Ap8/Ap9 and others.
- Experience working in radiation test facilities (e.g., university labs, national labs).
- Electrical engineering simulation/modeling tools (PSpice, Matlab, etc.) and software for EE and mathematical analysis.
- Knowledge of propulsion, ordnance, mechanical structures, avionics electronics, navigation, guidance & control, missile performance, materials & processes, reliability, safety, support equipment, and EEE (electronic, electrical, electromechanical, electrooptical) components.
- Experience leading anomaly resolution teams.
- Organized, capable of multi‑tasking in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Recognized authority in systems thinking with demonstrated ability to apply techniques and train others.
- Missile or space segment design and test experience with subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.
- Experience with military and technical requirements/specifications and participating in major program reviews (SRR, PDR, etc.).
- Ability to lead and work effectively in multi‑functional teams, integrate across teams, and build professional relationships.
- Experience briefing results to customers and senior leadership.
- Active or current Top Secret clearance.
