About this role
Lockheed Martin seeks a highly motivated, innovative Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join the Global Security team and become a member of the Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) in Denver, Colorado.
Responsibilities- Employ MBSE approaches to develop Systems Engineering products using SysML and MBSE tools to capture, maintain, and visualize model data.
- Support MBSE efforts on multiple programs; solicit stakeholder needs for MBSE implementation.
- Elicit stakeholder needs and requirements and model the data.
- Use system data from model to develop assembly, integration, interface, and verification data.
- Engage across all teams (SE, R&V, Mechanical, Electrical, Digital Transformation, and Customers) to support products and processes, leading SE process definition and coordinating process execution across the team.
- Assist in redefining and modernizing engineering processes, including Peer Reviews, Design Reviews, and Operations/Test efforts.
- Support the definition and implementation of MBSE products and processes, partnering across SE teams and the overall FBM MBSE/MBE efforts to incorporate and modernize model-based methods into products, processes, and design reviews.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and build strong relationships with customers, management, external stakeholders, Design SMEs, and peers, thriving in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment with competing priorities.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years professional experience.
- US citizenship required;
Top Secret clearance required prior to start. - Knowledge or experience in Systems Engineering lifecycle and processes.
- Experience performing Systems Engineering activities associated with Model Based applications.
- Familiarity with Cameo or equivalent MBSE/SysML for architecture design.
- Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Desired Skills
- Experience using system modeling tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, Magic Draw, etc.) to solve a broad range of systems engineering problems beyond architecture.
- Experience with spacecraft and/or aerospace.
- Experience with process development and deployment.
- Experience with requirements-based tools (e.g., DOORS).
- Familiar with Agile Methodologies and tools.
US citizenship required, Top Secret clearance required prior to start. Clearance level: TS/SCI.
CompensationThe annual base salary range for this position in Colorado is $73,400 - $129,260.
