Redwire Space Missions is looking for a bold, visionary Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering to help build the future of spaceflight from our Littleton, CO campus. In this role, you will lead and grow a high performing Electrical Engineering organization that sits at the heart of our Space Missions portfolio, driving innovation across avionics, power systems, communications, and advanced electrical design.
You'll shape the technical direction of multiple spacecraft programs, mentor and elevate exceptional engineering talent, and personally contribute as a hands‑on leader solving some of the toughest challenges in space hardware. - Lead and scale the Electrical Engineering functional organization in support of multiple Space Missions programs, spanning avionics, electrical power systems (EPS), and RF/optical communications, and advanced electrical design.
- Provide direct technical leadership, serving as a hands‑on engineering authority who guides architectures, solves complex program challenges, and ensures mission success.
- Drive tight alignment with Systems Engineering to maintain rigorous requirements traceability, achieve design closure, and ensure verification and test readiness.
- Partner across functions (Mechanical, Systems, Software, I&T) to support integration, test, and verification of electrical units, assemblies, and subsystems.
- Drive preparation and readiness for program gate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), ensuring technical rigor, maturation, and low technical risk.
- Establish and uphold engineering excellence by developing best practices, design standards, process and workflows, and overall technical discipline.
- Grow, mentor, and elevate engineering talent, driving technical growth, performance management, and long‑range workforce planning.
- Contribute as a domain expert to proposals, customer engagements, technical trade studies, and strategic decisions that shape the future of Redwire Space Missions.
- 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of experience supporting commercial or government space programs.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical or functional leadership role.
- Strong technical background in spacecraft avionics, guidance, navigation & control (GNC), electrical power systems, networking & encryption, or RF communications.
- Experience establishing engineering standards, processes, or governance frameworks across multiple programs.
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven leadership of complex spacecraft avionics development as an IPT Lead, Subsystem Lead, or Responsible Engineer, with accountability for cost, schedule, technical performance, risk management, and cross‑discipline integration. Experience with agile execution is highly valued.
- Demonstrated success managing, mentoring, and developing engineers or technical leads within a matrixed or functional organization, including performance management, team growth, and capability development.
- Deep familiarity with modern digital engineering ecosystems, including integration across ECAD, MCAD, simulation environments, configuration management systems, and requirements traceability platforms (e.g., JAMA, DOORS). Experience driving digital transformation or model‑based workflows is highly valued.
