Systems Engineer
Description
As the Project Engineer you will be responsible for integrating technical, cost, and schedule data to keep mission‑critical projects on track.
Responsibilities- Maintain technical, cost, and schedule aspects of contracts and generate earned value and risk assessments.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans and Basis of Estimates while supporting Control Account Management.
- Collaborate with engineering, program, and government stakeholders to resolve anomalies and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in customer, government, and audit reviews, ensuring compliance and clear communication of project status.
- Report progress, issues, and achievements to the Directorate and Program.
- Work cross‑functionally to develop proposal deliverables such as scoping documents, fact‑finding presentations, and basis of estimates.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related technical field or mathematics.
- Strong customer relationship management skills including outreach and communications experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.
- Program/project management experience and demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects.
- Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience or equivalent comparable experience.
- Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Candidate must be available for occasional domestic travel (up to 25%).
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple high‑priority tasks.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Experience in Project Planning and/or Project Management.
- Experience working on proposals, contracts and/or process development and improvement.
- Experience with project performance and metric tools such as Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Tableau.
- Familiarity and knowledge of Avionics Subsystems and Electrical Ground Support Equipment.
- Ability to conduct gap analysis and manage multiple projects/milestones.
This position requires a US citizen with a government security clearance. Clearance level:
Secret.
Annual base salary range: $85,500 – $150,765, depending on location (California, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC). Salary is a general guideline and may vary based on final work location, experience, education, and market conditions.
