Role Summary
In this role you will work as a Mechanical Integration engineer focused on managing the top‑level space vehicle model on multiple programs, collaborating closely with adjacent engineering functions. These functions encompass the full spectrum of hardware integration, including payloads, avionics, RF cabling, harnessing and bus structures, ensuring seamless interaction and coordination among these products and teams.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Ability to independently manage several top‑level space vehicle assemblies using solid models, large assemblies, detailed drawings and release of engineering work products.
- Experience reviewing requirements from various sources (stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing) to ensure they are integrated into detailed design.
- Collaboration with peers, ATLO, payload teams, configuration management and manufacturing to meet program requirements and schedules.
- Contribution to program achievements through the release of accurate, error‑free, affordable and producible engineering designs.
- Expert knowledge of 3D CAD Modeling in PTC CREO and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- US citizenship required with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Ownership of tasks and efficient drive to closure.
- Application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.
- Experience with Engineering Data Product release process within the Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM) system.
- Knowledge of LM Space command media.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA and AWS applicable to mechanical systems.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain or maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
Onsite Full‑time. 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
